A lampshade born from exploring paper techniques and forms for lighting a chosen space. This form gives a soft curve and enhances the warm feel and welcoming experience of the space. It piques the interest of the viewer with its change in profile from each viewing direction.
It involves weaving of two different types of paper to bring the curve of the form.

FORM EXPLORATION
With Paper

My explorations with various known and new techniques lead to a collection as above.
From this collection the technique in which I combined spiral cutting with weaving was taken ahead to a larger scale to see its potential and form development, thus developing it into the final form of the lighting design.
The form of the product is formed with respect to the cuts , which is then held together by weaving paper strips through it.

The change in form from different viewpoints can be seen through the images.
